ABOUT YOUTH UNLIMITED
Youth Unlimited has been helping young people discover their potential since 1947. With nine chapters in Greater Vancouver, YU provides caring relationships and development opportunities for vulnerable youth through relevant programs and individual connections, aimed at fostering mental, physical, social, spiritual, and emotional well-being among young people in the community.
OUR PURPOSE
As a faith-based organization, Youth Unlimited is committed to extending Christ’s love to youth who otherwise are falling through the cracks. We exist to see young lives transformed through relationships. Our youth worker are committed to these kids for the long haul.
HELPING THE FUTURE GENERATION
Today’s youth face a myriad of challenges preventing them from living life to the fullest. Challenges like unstable home lives, systemic vulnerability, addiction, mental illness, poverty and even a rapidly changing technological landscape make the social, psychological and cognitive challenges of adolescence all the more difficult to navigate. We see the potential in each young person we meet. We are confident that with enough of the right support, they can overcome the challenges that life throws their way.
Carol On Call Business Services Ltd. is excited to support Youth Unlimited and specifically the work of Maureen Floris here in Maple Ridge. Each week over 500 youth are served a hot breakfast, connections are made in weekly after school Coffee Houses, and relationships are built through out-of-school events - horseback riding, hiking, art classes, language classes and week-long camping trips, as examples.
